August 19th, one of the most crucial day in my life. Its my engagement day. Well i started preparing myself long ago, but still i am in tension. To be honest i hate to be the center of attraction, and this is the day i am going to be. Apart from that, the gift that i am supposed to present to my lady is the next question. Lot of things came to mind. A small bear, jewelery, apparels, cosmetics,.... yes have a big list on that.
But finally decided to go ahead with a watch. So today i went to the shopping complex, after getting in and out of two shops, i got one watch for my lady. My first gift to my fiance.
Tomorrow is Indian independence day. We are part of a competition in office, and the winner can walk away with 5k in his pockets. My teammates are working to pursue the dream of getting 5k. Tomorrow instead of being late, i am gonna reach earlier to help them out. Last time our team scored 5k, and this time also we are gonna make it. My second gift to my lady. :D [Eventhough if we loose, i already have a gift for her and you may be wondering how winning a competition could be a gift. So even i.]

A trip to hoganakkal......
We can never forget august 4th midnight. It was day when we had our all of a sudden journey to Hoganakkal. Two of our friends has joined us on 3rd in our room to go for a movie "Arabi Katha". On 4th night, we didn't have any plans to do. So we thought of watching tamil movie "Rhythm". In the film, the intro started with a scene from Hoganakkal. Seeing this one of my friend asked, "Shall we head to Hoganakkal?". Everybody got interested, we all jumped into the car. Within 15 minutes we all set off to Hoganakkal.
It was a cool idea and a nice journey. We started at 12.30 AM and had a plan to reach there only by morning 7. After drawing money from the ATM, we started off. Praveen my friend, took the role of Finance Manager, Thushar who was already been there once, was the Event Coordinator.
The route we chose was, Bangalore - Dharmapuri-Hoganakkal. It was around 195 KM.
We reached Hoganakkal around 8 AM, due to the increased number of pit points, we were late by 1 hour. On reaching hoganakkal, we were bit afraid of the guides who started following us. Finally we managed to meet Mr. Muthu, he promised us to take around. He started with 200/head, but finally Thushar made it to 150/head and a trip duration of 1.5 hours.
Initially i was so afraid to get into the round boat, but gradually i started enjoying it. It was a superb experience. On the way in the river muthu has shown us 20 water falls and finally we reached a shore where you can have fish. So we ordered 35 idali,15 fished and two bottles of Toddy. That was our breakfast :). After that we headed to the main waterfall, an eye candy one.
Then we asked muthu to take us a place where we can have bath. He managed to get a place. Nearly half an hour we spent there. After taking bath he took us one more round and we came back to the place. It was a massive ride of 3 hours. Muthu was such a good person, his hospitality, the way he treated us is the one thing that made us enjoy this tour.
Around 12.30 we started back to bangalore. Even though Hoganakkal is so famous for its natural beauty, its not so hygienic. On the way to our boat, we saw a slaughter cutting a goat and taking its blood. May thats a usual thing for them. But as a tourist we couldn't see that. Moreover the sound of dieing goat. Praveen ran way from the scene. Even i couldn't tolerate that.
Back to bangalore trip was not so good. Everybody was so tired and wanted to reach home. As there is no good hotels in the way back, we had to suffer our hunger till we reach bangalore. Anyway it was a cool trip i ever had. This is not my opinion, everybody agrees. This was our 6th trip in two years. Hoping more and more. Next location decided is Jog falls, but has to be finalized.
